Week of April 27th Lessons:


Monday

Log in to Zoom at 10:30 for our Edward Tulane lesson. We will be reviewing chapter three and reading chapter four together. Make sure you are in a quiet spot and ready to focus. After our session, summarize what happened in Pellegrina's story about the princess!

Bonus: Work on the Week One trifold for Edward Tulane

Do Zearn for 30 minutes.

Can you tell someone what an adaptation is?  What are the two main categories of adaptations? If you can’t answer these questions, rewatch the video!

Tuesday

Reread chapter four of Edward Tulane on your own. What new words did you learn? Make a list of at least five words that are new to you and what you think they mean based on the clues in the story. *Submit in Office 365

Bonus: Work on the Week One trifold for Edward Tulane

Zearn for 30 minutes.

(Work on this all week) Make a list of five animals.  Research on the internet what adaptations (physical or behavioral) they have that help them survive.  List the adaptations and illustrate each one. *Submit in Office 365 or have your parents text me a picture of your work!

Wednesday

Login to Zoom for our reading session at 10:30. Have your book ready and make sure you are in a quiet spot.  Bring your list of new words you wrote from chapter 4 and be ready to discuss.

Bonus: Work on the Week One trifold for Edward Tulane

Zearn for 30 minutes.

Work on your animal adaptations list and illustrations.

Thursday

Review chapters 1-5 in Edward Tulane. Reread your favorite parts.  Work on trifold if you have time. We’ll be starting a new one next week.

Zearn for 30 minutes. Multiplication practice for 10 minutes.
