Wednesday, March 18 Lessons

Hi Students,

I hope you are doing well and keeping up with the reading in your book club book.  Make sure when you are doing ANY writing at all, you are writing in complete sentences, using correct punctuation and capitalization, and using lots of details.  Here is your Wednesday assignment.

Grammar:  Watch the dialogue video at this link:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWSfn9oPnJg
After the video, complete the flip book page on the right side of your yellow folder titled “Dialogue”. Rewrite the sentences correctly underneath the flaps.  The first sentence is…

She yelled see you tomorrow                  You should rewrite it as...  She yelled, “See you tomorrow!”

Reading:  Read chapter two out loud to a friend, parent, or sibling. Practice reading with good expression and remember to pause with punctuation.  Then, look for 5 examples of dialogue in chapter 2.  Look at the quotation marks, commas, and other punctuation.

Math:  Complete 30 minutes in Zearn (hit the START button) and do Day 1 and Day 2 of Week 26 Math Four Square. The Math Four Square is in your yellow folder on the left side pocket.  Have a parent check your work.  Hint: The answer to the fraction problem from day one is NOT 3/3.  Count the total number of shaded parts for the numerator!
